At Window World, it’s more than just helping homeowners with their home improvement projects. We strive to empower the communities we live, work and play in by giving back to those in need.
Over the past four years, we’ve proudly supported Son of a Saint, an organization making a critical difference for fatherless boys through mentorship, education and emotional support. This year’s Gala was a powerful celebration of hope for young men in New Orleans as we sought to build on last year’s $3 million milestone alongside Ochsner, Rycars and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Merrick. As part of the event, guests experienced heartfelt testimonials, live entertainment and an auction, all supporting Son of a Saint’s critical programs providing support and development for boys aged 10 to 21.
Our President, Jerrell Thomas, was honored to be one of the event’s speakers. While he was fortunate to be raised by a man who provided both a feeling of security and support, he understands the needs of thousands of fatherless young men in New Orleans across all races, ages and socio-economic statuses.
As Jerell stated before the event, “Son of a Saint embodies what it means for young men to have a fighting chance in this world in the absence of their fathers. The resources they provide, the commitment to the success of the young men in the organization and their consistent advocacy for this community are why Window World will be a long-standing and fruitful partner. Fathers not only shape who we are internally but how we develop and maintain relationships as we grow up. We want to be a part of the community that raises boys into confident and competent men.”
We are so grateful to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young men in our hometown. But Son of a Saint isn’t the only organization we partner with to bring change to our community. Since 2008, Window World Cares has raised over $13 million benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s mission. Additionally, we partner with the Veterans Airlift Command to support our veterans, which provides air transportation free of charge for wounded warriors and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes.
We’re extremely grateful to have made such an impact in 2024, and we can’t wait to make a bigger difference in our community throughout 2025—all thanks to your continued support of our mission.
